A Makeover for Your Pantry: Using Target Products to Achieve Beauty and Function

The sight of a cluttered pantry had been a source of frustration for me, until I decided to take matters into my own hands. I had always admired the Pinterest pantries because of how organized and aesthetically pleasing they looked. I decided to create mine and the first thing I did was draw out my pantry to visualize how my organization system would be.

How it all started…

After drawing my simple sketch (pictured above), I knew that I’d need baskets, clear organizers, canisters, lazy Suzans, and turntables to organize all my items efficiently, so my first stop was Target.

Shopping at Target for the right pantry organization products

At Target, I wanted to get baskets that had great visual appeal, and that was easy because all the baskets Target sells, are beautiful! My baskets were going to be used to store extra food, snacks, canned food, tea bags, and perishable groceries like onions, potatoes, and plantains. I purchased baskets of different looks, sizes, and materials. In the white wire basket, I stored my canned tomato pastes and sauces with snacks, In my stacking wire storage baskets, I stored my onions, potatoes, and plantains, in the round wire basket, I stored my sparkling water, and in the smaller woven baskets I stored hot chocolate and tea.

Organizing cereals, pastas, an all the tiny grained things

The clear canisters were my favorite organizational products because they look so beautiful in my pantry. I used them to store my different cereals and pastas. I loved that their covers were wooden, it added an extra touch of appeal to how they looked and I purchased them from Home Goods at very affordable prices.

I had a lot of items that were in bottles, jars, and cans so I decided to use my wooden lazy suzan that I already had to store my short bottled products, and I used the clear turntable organizer to store my taller bottled products.

I used the clear organizers that I also purchased from Home Goods to organize the remaining snacks I had and they turned out pretty well. I’ll say, it feels good to have all my snacks organized in one place, that way I know which snacks I’m running low on, and when to restock them. The bread box added a decorative touch to the pantry. I got it from the Bullseye section at Target (Target’s $5 and below section), so unfortunately I don’t have a link for it.

I used the extra cabinet space I had to display some of my kitchenware and appliances like my Our Place Perfect Pot, Mini Always Pan, and Mini Perfect Pot, and also my Drew Barrymore Air fryer.

Creating a functional and beautiful pantry is very possible

Overall, I had so much fun organizing my pantry and, I did a great job of having a functional organization system in my pantry and also making it look beautiful and visually appealing. To watch the full process of organizing my pantry, you can watch my Pantry Organization YouTube video ❤️
